So, I've been wanting to do a piece with a Mario Brothers Piranha Plant for a while and couldn't think of what to do. Than, when shopping for wood for other projects I bumped into this piece of wood and I just saw the image on it already. So here she be. It's entirely wood burnt. And I gotta point out that this piece...considering it was all done with the woodpen...took forever.

Here's what played in the DVD player while making this. Bare in mind I didn't stop till I was done, not even to sleep...

Die Hard
Die Hard with a Vengence
Wayne's World 2
Battle Royale
5 Episodes of Mr. Show

My god, I'm fucking tired. Haha. Off to bed.

I could teach you. :-) No joke. If you actually hand drew the stuff in your gallery you have what it takes.

I was a teacher for a few years and I had this rule. No tutorial books. I hated going off a sheet. I like teaching people more one on one since everyone learns differently.

Actually, there's not a lot of tools required. A couple years ago I was dumped pretty hardcore and found myself living alone. When I had fits of loneliness but no one to hang out with I would just wonder around in random stores. One day, in an art store I saw they had woodburning pens for $15 and I saw that the planks of wood averaged $1-$7. I figured, "this will keep my mind off life." And it did. Haha.

Dude... excellent... the only critique is mayhaps a better camera and/or taking your pictures in better light. Maybe outside? Many of your picture seem to be taken at night? The only reason I say so is because they are awesome and I wish to see them a little crisper. Awesome subject choices.... this, Gir, Venture Bros. Great!!!
:D
